Glasses Repair Paris — Ekla Paris 10th and 11th

At Ekla, we repair glasses in our two Paris boutiques, with a free assessment. Broken temples, missing screws, jammed hinges, general refurbishment: we assess the frame on site and tell you what we can and cannot do. Minor repairs are free. More extensive repairs start from €49.

Depending on the repair, your frame will be ready to take home the same day or will stay in the workshop for a few days. We will tell you this at the time of the assessment, before any work is carried out — and we will call you as soon as it is ready.

*The complete check-up includes all minor services depending on the condition of the frame: nose pads, screws, end-pieces, ultrasonic cleaning, adjustment.

Who this service is for — and its limitations

We repair:

• All brands, whether or not purchased at Ekla
• Metal, plastic and titanium frames
• Urgent cases (broken temple in the morning) or preventive maintenance
• Valuable frames that you do not want to replace due to minor damage

We cannot repair:

• Plastic frames broken in two — the structure no longer holds, and a repair would not be durable. We will tell you clearly on site, and we can help you find a replacement.
• Cracked or broken lenses — broken lenses are not part of the repair service. We will guide you toward a lens replacement with a transparent quote.
• Frames too badly damaged for a clean finish — there is no point in restoring a frame where the result would not be satisfactory. We prefer to tell you.

So, how does it work?

1. You visit the boutique with your frame, no appointment needed.
2. We perform a free assessment on site — a few minutes.
3. We tell you what is repairable, what is not, and how much it costs.
4. If you accept the quote, we carry out the repair. Minor interventions are often done immediately. More extensive repairs (welding, complete refurbishment) may take a few days.
5. We call you when it is ready.

Compared to a large chain or a home repair

Vs. a large chain: in most large stores, repairs are outsourced — your frame goes to a workshop, you wait several weeks, and you have no direct contact with the person carrying out the work. At Ekla, we perform the assessment and the vast majority of interventions directly in the boutique.

Vs. DIY: removing a hinge or adjusting a temple without the right tools carries a real risk of breakage. A screw tightened too much can strip the thread. A poorly done adjustment can permanently deform the frame. Coming to the boutique takes twenty minutes — and there is zero risk of turning a simple problem into a permanent one.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to make an appointment for a repair?

No. Visit the boutique directly from Tuesday to Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. We perform the free assessment on site without a prior appointment.

Can you repair a frame purchased elsewhere?

Yes. We accept all brands, regardless of where they were purchased. Only the frame matters.

Is the repair covered by health insurance?

Repair costs are generally not covered by health insurance. If your glasses were purchased at Ekla, check your warranty — post-purchase adjustments are included and free.

What happens if my frame cannot be repaired?

We will tell you clearly during the assessment, free of charge. If you would like a replacement, we will assist you with direct billing and style advice — just like for a first purchase.
